I believe a congratulation is in order. You just single-highhandedly managed to accomplish something that none of the great Russian Tsars could dream of, let alone do.
Since you are not a history buff, please let me elaborate. You just handed the entire Middle East and access to Persian Gulf to Mr. Putin on a silver platter. If that was your plan, Mr. President, then, clearly, so far so good!
In case you are missing the big picture, Sir, here it is. Iran, being threatened militarily by the US, will be rushing into the arms of Russia. The Iraq's government, under pressure from its people, has already asked the US to leave the country. And Iraqi Kurds, after seeing what you did to their folks in Syria, will not oppose that.
With Lebanon and Iraq having close ties to Iran, they will also become receptive to Russian influence. Syria has been a client of Russia for more than half a century now. And, Turkey, suspicious of the US role in the last coup d’etat, is already leaning toward Russia.
With all these countries falling under Russian influence, there will be a NEW OPEC, headed by Russia. Saudis will see the writing on the wall. They either have to join the NEW OPEC or risk an Islamic revolution emerge from their mosques. And as always, survival of House of Saud will trump everything else.
